At DivInc, we know that transforming the clean energy landscape takes more than just great ideas—it takes strong, supported founders with access to the right tools, networks, and insights. Here’s how our program is designed to do exactly that:
The program kicked off with a warm and energetic welcome, bringing together founders, alumni, mentors, board members, and partners at The Ion Houston. These early moments help create a sense of belonging and encourage relationship-building—both key ingredients for long-term founder success.
Throughout the program, founders have connected with industry leaders and partners like Headway Labs, Gunderson Dettmer, and BreakingBounds. These collaborations have opened doors to expert advice on commercialization, legal strategies, and go-to-market planning—essential pieces for clean energy startups scaling their impact.
From day one, founders engaged with the LEVERS framework by Amos Schwartzfarb, a strategic approach that supports decision-making and growth across the life of a startup.
This foundation is built on early traction, clarity around customer value, and scalable models—all especially vital for startups tackling energy challenges in emerging markets or underserved areas.
To deepen their entrepreneurial development, the curriculum also includes practical, high-impact workshops led by trusted experts. These sessions address the real challenges clean energy founders face, from:
Product-market fit with Blair Garrou
Investor readiness with Wes Okeke’s Headway Labs program
Marketing strategy with Vallure Agency
Financial modeling with the Forecastr team
Design thinking + low code tools with Vi Friebertshauser
IP + commercialization strategies with Gunderson Dettmer
Together, this ensures that founders leave with both the mindset and materials needed to navigate today’s competitive clean energy landscape.
We understand that building a startup is a personal journey, too. Through our Whole Founder Wellness programming and Birkman assessments, founders are encouraged to reflect on their leadership styles, challenges, and aspirations—creating space for sustainable growth as leaders and innovators.
As the program progresses, founders participate in in-depth pitch practice and coaching, culminating in Demo Day. With hands-on design support from SketchDeck and pitch coaching led by Joanna Nathan, every founder is set up to present their company with confidence and clarity.
Upcoming events like Mercury Day bring in VC partners, offering invaluable relationship-building and feedback opportunities, while upcoming sessions on fundraising strategy, cap tables, team building, and more will ensure founders are ready for serious investor conversations.
